5 Traits Of A Successful Heart Centered Entrepreneur

Today’s world is yearning for more of us to step up and into our calling—helping people around the globe—creating and building heart centered businesses.  It’s no surprise that we see a rise in coaches, spiritual teachers, healers, writers, and wellness products.  According to, life and business coaches alone make up an industry revenue of over $12 billion dollars in the USA with an annual growth rate of 3.4%.

The coaching industry is a great example of a steady financial growth pattern for heart-centered entrepreneurs because its focus is on helping others where the side benefit happens to be your business—the very definition of a heart-centered business, as defined by Steven Aitchison, Creator of Your Digital Formula (a program designed specifically for the heart-centered entrepreneur helping them share their message, grow their audience and grow their business).

“The effect you have on others is the most valuable currency there is.“  -Jim Carrey

People are searching out the unique individuals who can help them live better lives, and so, heart-centered entrepreneurs and leaders will continue to be a tremendous value and continue to be in demand (especially with the flexibility and ease of connecting in this digital age).  But yet, why are so many well-meaning entrepreneurs struggling financially while others seem to rise and succeed?

Here are 5 of the common traits I’ve found among successful heart-centered entrepreneurs:

No matter what is happening around them, their determination to see their vision manifest into reality and results drives them more every day (even when the road gets tough).  When most people quit over fear of the challenge ahead, the heart-centered entrepreneur believes without a shadow of a doubt that their message and mission can help others and that’s enough to keep going.

Passion is the fuel that makes the heart-centered entrepreneur lose all track of time because they are engrossed and in love with what they have to offer through their unique message and business.  Working and refining their message and their mission is at the core of who they are. Long days and nights are nothing to the heart-centered entrepreneur because they LOVE what they’re doing.

Obstacles are no reason to quit for the heart-centered entrepreneur.  They take risks, have confidence, and really understand that “failure” is a part of the journey to learning and growing. But they also highly value their creativity. This creative aspect is what they rely upon (quite often showing up as strokes of genius) to overcome obstacles, learn and come out ahead.

Heart-centered entrepreneurs know that what they offer is of real service to others…helping lift others…heal others in a special way. Because of that, they are service-oriented and feel a deeper sense of joy because they value helping others, first.  They also feel a deep sense of gratitude for the mere opportunity of showing you the value they have to offer you.

When the heart-centered entrepreneur creates the service, product or program, then by default, also know their service, product or program best.  In fact, it’s easy to see that the service, product or program is “who they are” … a manifestation of what their life is all about.  They aren’t necessarily marketing or selling so hard as much as they simply ARE IT and therefore, find themselves in the flow of people coming to them for help. They are shining examples that people want to know more about—and rather than exerting so much energy convincing others about what they have to offer, people yearning for more come to them naturally.

Successful heart-centered entrepreneurs understand that in order for their mission to succeed, they must also step forward by over-delivering value no matter what price tag they deem necessary for their service, product or program.  They’re not money driven—they gracefully understand the energy of giving and receiving and fully embrace the bounty as reward and proof for work well done.

The more secure and grounded they are in this energy exchange, then the more their heart-centered business grows.  When the growth trend is fully in place, then the heart-centered entrepreneur is quick to re-assess, expand and deliver even more because they have more resources to do it.
